The Canyon

This is the canyon that starts the standard route up Gibraltar Rock. Visible on the right (just left of and below the pointed peak) is most of the "technical scramble" that I found as an alternative to the standard route. The standard route is a solid Class 3 with a little Class 4; the alternate is a solid Class 4 with some Class 5, with a Class 5 crux on some horrendously loose rock. Good stuff!
