The Crash Site

Fellow climbers rush to the aid of a man who took a spectacular slide in Avalanche Gulch on Mt. Shasta. The last few hundred feet of the slide is indicated by the red line. Helen Lake is just to the right of this photo, almost 400 vertical feet below.
