While being only 40 feet of vertical gain, apparently many hikers seem to have difficulty on this particular stretch. I did not mind it at all except for getting my legs up and over the one huge rock near the top. There really isn't any good way around it so you just have to grab and lift your body at least part way over it. This traverse is probably easiest done from bottom to top and not the reverse and would be a nightmare when slick or snow-covered.
