Wow!! Great shot
Thank you Ejnar I tried to email you some more pictures but the email would not pass on. So I am just going to put more on Summit Post
is incredible! looks like a blast...
This is a classic Colorado Ice climb . I first lead it in 1996 and try to lead it when ever it is in It is near Vail Colorado
This is truly one of the greatest ice climbing shots ever! Must have been quite a rush to climb it !
It was quite a rush almost took a fall while I was climbing it . Sent you a PM about it. Hope you enjoy it.
So beautiful! I love this shot.
Climbing that climb than any other ice climbs. Well lets just say it rates high up on my list of fun classic Ice climbs.
I've always wondered how do those things form like that? Great Shot!
Just picture a stalagtite and a stalagmite forming.Just speed it up with water and cold tempatures and warm temps. That area around Vail has some amazing ice formations along with rock routes and you have some classic mixed routes in Colorsdo.
More than 10!
Thank you for your rating and extra rating. I enjoy this climb every time I climb it. It was my third ice climb in Colo. to lead. That was the winter of 1996. For a short ice climb it was quite the adventure. I was almost to the top of the climb was 30feet from my last ice screw placment when my left ice axe placment came loose causing me to loose my crampoon front point placements, which caused me to swing around hanging from my right ice axe which did hold me or I would have taken a 60 foot fall. I was able to get some better placments and another ice screw in. Then finish the climb with no more mishaps
Great shot and scarey looking climb! :)
At times it can be scarey to climb and then other times somewhat eaiser. But always one to respect
You get my respect for climbing that thing. ;)
a great shot!!
