Yeah, we started hiking really early that morning! Oh and by the way it was windy up there and very very cold.

Yeah Awesome.

I think the Winger guide refers to Herard as the Sentinal of the Dunes. I realy want to go up therre soon as I am a fan of the sand dunes. Since I started going to the dunes when I was 17 I always thought of Herard as "Two Fang Mountain" because Ididn't know the real name at the time. 13 years later I still like "Two Fang"!

Two Fang is a much better name. It makes a good trip to spend a night at Medano Lake below "Two Fang", hike it in the morning, then go down and camp in the dunes the next night. Good fun!
