Yeah, the stuff all around that area is sandstone. I'm no geologist but the term "Entrada Sandstone" is thrown around quite a bit to describe the stuff in Arches NP.

Arches IS a wonderful place. Worth a visit for whatever - a climb, a hike, or even a drive thru. Amazing area!

Re: Wonderful viewGreat photo Radek, worth the PotW honors! As William said, this is not a typical road shot. Colors are great here, scenery fantastic, road is nice with those black curves and nice model whose shadow and big shadow in lower right corner give that extra touch!
