Interesting shapes!

Reminds me of the famous trulli - also cone-shaped stone houses - one sees in Puglia, at the tip of the heel of the Italian boot!

Re: Interesting shapes!

Eric, these were truly a strange sight to see. You are driving up this somewhat rough road when suddenly you round a corner and there they are.

Re: Interesting shapes!

I think we heard you, Dean.

I remember seeing them in 1989, while riding
a mountain bike (solo) from Stovepipe Wells to Mahogany Flat.

Re: Interesting shapes!

That was back in the day, when I was a frisky
young lad..

Now, I'm a feisty old dude.

Do you ever wish you could go back in time,
and somehow do it all over again ???

Re: Interesting shapes!

It may seem strange but I believe I'm hiking better now than I did when I was younger. I think I'm more patient and realistic versus when I was always hitting a fast pace with big backpacks. At least I am enjoying it more it seems. But yes, I wish I could go back in time with the knowledge I have now.

'Youth is wasted on the young' as the saying goes. Btw, those kilns have the strangest echo inside them.
