The legend, in action!

The legendary Fred Beckey descending the Gmoser Ledges from the Hind Hut and Mt. Assiniboine. 84 years old and still climbing. Fred is an animal! We were lucky enough to spend several days with him on our trip to Assiniboine in August, 2006. Fred is credited with over 600 first ascents, including many of Canada's most classic alpine routes.
