The main reason to visit...

The main reason to visit Dinosaur Ridge, a hogback immediately east of Mount Morrison and Redrocks, is to see the dinosaur footprints. This well-preserved section is right off the road with a bevy of interpretive signs. The largest footprints are about 15" across. February, 2005.

I believe

these particular footprints were supposedly made by Iguanadons. Great photo-thanks for adding. I never thought about adding this stuff.

Re: I believe

Yup! There are footprints from three or four different breeds, but I don't have the head for dinosaurs that I used to have (say, at age six). Fascinating stuff and one of the best reasons to visit the area.
