The minor mezzanine basin...
The minor mezzanine basin between Bird Creek proper and the upper basin below the NE Face of Devore. Photo was taken from around 6,600 ft. The "saddle" above is 7,000 ft. The final climb to the top of the rim will probably be steep heather or scrambling once the snow disappears. The steepest snow encountered was about 35 degrees. May 28, 2005.
