The Namesake
After as successful day on Kit Carson Peak and Challenger Point, we got this spectacular sunset view over the Sierra Blanca Group. When the sun sets across the San Luis Valley, it gives the Sangre de Cristo Mountains a crazy crazy alpenglow (Sangre de Cristo = "Blood of Christ"). I have never seen mountains turn more orange.
