The normal hiking route to Sierra Buttes's Lookout, from the vicinity of Packer Lake. A small stretch of the route is on the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. +2400 feet (800 m) total elevation gain, 3 miles one-way.

Nice map

I always appreciate the work that it takes to put up a nice map so when I see one like this, its a slam dunk 4stars to make up for the reasoning that maps are lesser than pics. I've now added Sierra buttes to my to do list (along with Lassen and Shasta)
