The north couloir splits in the lower section. Although we were descending, if you wanted to get to the silver saddle going up you would want to take the right side.

Silver Saddle

We ascended the Petzoldt Couloir (shown in this picture) and took the left hand branch (it was steep and loose). It topped out at the same area as the right branch- The Silver Saddle. So I think either way takes you to the saddle between the East and West summits.



Nice shot- I wouldn't want to down climb it like you were!
