Are you sure that's Crystal Peak

It may be but it looks so much shorter than where you are standing which i assume is the summit of Pacific. Crystal Peak elevation is 13,852 and Pacifics is 13,950; that looks like more than 100-ft. Crystal west slopes are much more rugged as well. I have a map now, and it looks like that is a shot of Pacific's south ridge. Then again I could be wrong. Good job on getting Pacific, I know you had been trying to summit that mountain for a while now.

Re: Are you sure that's Crystal Peak

Yup, though the perspective is a little odd. The summit of Crystal is just barely in the field in the upper right with the southern sub-summit more visible below it. This is actually a very wide-angle shot (two 35mm fields stitched together) which gives it a kind of fish-eye appearance. Thanks! It was a fantastic trip and a wonderfully satisfying mountain!

Yes, I see now. That is quite the fish eye look. Good one.
