NW Slope Orgre
With Fred and Vern - lousy weather. Even got snowed on.

E Ridge - Goblin
Climbed the entire E Ridge with Moni starting from where the trail crosses it just south of Cannon Creek. A lot more dead fall down low than we anticipated. Beautiful day, but time on the summit was short because of a swarm of flying ants.
Traverse of both peaks from ridge north of Goblin to the western ridge of Ogre
Crossed over from Sheep Lake between Baal and She Devil before descending to Upper Cannon Lake and climbed the ridge north of Goblin. Traversed around the backside a bit and up some rather steep and somewhat loose chutes and slabs. Continued over to Ogre and down the west ridge.
Western ridge of the Goblin was trivial but the East ridge of Ogre was rather enjoyable.
The last two peaks on a ridge traverse that also included Babel, She, and Baal. By the time I was off the Goblin I was long out of water and dry on a hot day.

NW Slope - Ogre
With Moni and Vernon (saintgrizzly)- in the rain - wind driven (STRONG wind) rain on the summit. We had other plans, but they will have to wait.
Route Climbed: Northwest slope Date Climbed: August 1, 2003
I had a nice climb up the fairly easy northwest slope. The top is formed by large blocks that are fun to scramble around on. I also identified five plant species not previously known to occur in this mountain range. To descend I found a chute off the south side that required some concentration. Further down there are multiple cliffs cutting off ones path. Eventually I reached the Hanson Lake outlet and headed east until the trail was found. Downfall and heavy brush after a fire made this hard and slow going. I don't recommend this exit from the mountain.

Route Climbed: North face from basin above Cannon Lakes. Date Climbed: 7/4/2003Camped in the basin just above adove and west of Upper Cannon Lake. Easy scramble. There is a very old summit register at the top
