The only trees on the island

In case you were looking for any. OK there are a few others in the area but not many. The west side of the island is fairly low lying and water-laden, with lagoons, mud flats and bogs. Going cross-country might not actually be quicker. Given the relatively frequent eruptions a study of plant colonisation and succession on Augustine would be quite interesting.
