The Parasol Mushroom

The Parasol Mushroom

The Parasol Mushroom (Macrolepiota procera) belongs to the Lepiota family and it is edible. It is the tastiest after the cap has become convex (cap is oval when very young). Its charasteristic feature is the presence of a little bump in the center of a mature cap. It grows alone or scattered in forests or at the edges of forests, pastures, and on trails.
