It takes 8 miles of dirt road to get to the base of the mountain and several stretches are potential mud areas if wet. The road was drying out in this section but we saw old tracks where people had turned around when they got to the muddy parts. If the road had of been wetter, I would have turned around as well. Pahvant Butte is about two miles away in this shot.
