The side of Gilbert nobody sees

Gilbert Peak (13442), Utah's third highest peak, is usually viewed from the north when driving to Henrys Fork, from the west when climbing it, or from the southwest from Kings Peak. This picture was taken SSE of Gilbert from peak 12916, 1.87 miles away. June-26-2008

I love it !!

When I hiked Henrys Fork, I always imagined
what some of these peaks looked like from
opposing angles and new perspectives.

Another nice and awesome photo, ZJ !

Re: I love it !!

Thanks, I liked seeing Gilbert from this perspective because the way it is usually climbed, it is so flat that it doesn't look like anything.

nice photo of Gilbert!

I have to say, though, that it looks impressive from the north, too ;)
This photo isn't very good, but shows at least 2k of vertical relief above the basin
