The Stettiner Hütte dwarfed by the Hochwilde

The Hochwilde towers about 500m over the refuge. There is actually a hiking trail to the summit. Late in the summer of 2007, we couldn't go up there becasue there had been a lot of fresh snow, and with that came a serious risk of avalanches. So, we decided to come back for it a year later. Tomorrow we would go up there. The photo is taken from the trail to the Grafspitze, south of the refuge. 9 July 2008.
