The Terrible Traverse.

I took this pick on the way back across the traverse. I lead Ivan on a running belay across the top of this traverse (top of pic) by chopping and kicking steps in the hard snow. I chose to use five pickets on the crossing with a tedious dismount on to unstable rock YIKES! August 3rd 2008.
