I liked the title...

I liked the rest of it as well--good job! The Pioneers are a place I've GOT to get in to...!

Re: I liked the title...

Thanks! I'm not much of a writer, but I figured the story was entertaining enough to tell itself.

Good story man! Good to see you found your camera. I lost my lens cap coming down off of Gannett Peak this summer in Wyoming, and I still haven't replaced it! It made me so mad because those things are like $15. If I lost my camera though, I don't what I would do. haha

Re: Haha!

Thanks for reading it! I's pretty much decided that it was gone for good and was deciding what to replace it with when I found it. I think my wife is happy, because I'd decided on a $600.00 model. (On second thought, maybe I wish I'd never found it!)

Brings back memories

Your description of "the black staircase" brought back fond memories. Although it's been many years since I found the same path, I remember it like yesterday. Thanks! (And I'm glad you found your camera...)

Re: Brings back memories

Thanks for checking it out. The Pioneers are certainly one of those places that I can't get enough of. It's been almost too long already ...

Great page, and as has already been mentioned, great Dr. Strangelove reference. :)
