The Turtle Snowfield

Looking up the Turtle snowfield at the ever present ice cliff from our campsite on the Wapowety Cleaver. Mt Rainier, Washington (2003) We dubbed this site Camp Wilson because it sits at the top of the Wilson Glacier and directly below the Turtle snowfield. Fortunately for us, both times we bived at this site the ice cliff was quiet.
