The Upper Mintaka Valley
The Mintaka Valley is at the extreme Northern tip of the Karakoram. I took this photo whilst climbing to the Mintaka Pass (4726m) on the Pakistani-Chinese border during June 2005. Peaks in this picture are probably around the mid-5000m mark. The pictured Glacier is the Gul Khwaja Uween Glacier. The Google map gives you an indication of just how far north this is.
