The upper portion of S. Sister is a red volcanic rock, loosely consolidated. Going downhill is defintely better than going up on this stuff. 6-27-03

That is Mt. Bachelor, home of the high speed quad chair lifts. It is a very good ski mountain and keeps skiers busy generally until about May. Click here for more info on this peak
