The view northwest

From the summit ridge, this is the view northwest down the spine of the Kohala mountains. Thanks go to Klenke for the following: "The prominent cone in the distance is Puu Pili (4680+F, 640P)."

20-ft fern?

Is this one of them 20-ft maneater ferns you were talking about?
Super picture, by the way.

Maneaters they are!

Had to climb an ohia tree to get the shot - hardly any other way to get a pic up there. Thank you for the kind comment and vote. Now get back to Hawaii! (There were no goats anywhere on this hike and flowers were blooming so It smelled WAY better than that monster you found last time.)
