The Walensee before Alvier (2343m) and Gauschla (2310m)

The Walensee before Alvier (2343m) and Gauschla (2310m)

Alvier (2'343m) and Gauschla (2'310m) from Josenhaab (420m), at the north shore of the Walensee.

The Alvier Group is part of the Appenzell Alps, and therefore not of the Churfirsten, but the Walensee is.

That Alvier appears so close to the Walensee is simply a side effect of the 85mm focal length (compression).
