The wall: Grandes Jorasses...
The wall: Grandes Jorasses north faces seen from the approach to Breche Puiseaux, on the Periades ridge. On the right, the early morning sunlight ha reached the Col Des Grandes Jorasses.
On the Central Couloir, between the Walker and Whymper spurs, it's well visible the white line of the MacIntyre gully. Just on the left, the deep gorge of the Japanese couloir
To put the dimensione of this wall in perspective, Chicago's Sears Tower would only reach a little more than one third of the Walker (leftmost) spur
