The Wandering Linnet

The Linnet (Carduelis cannabina) is a small migratory bird from the finch family and it can often be seen throughout the Low Beskid. It builds its nest in the middle of a shub usually not more than 2 meters above ground. The chicks hatch after 13 days and spend two weeks in the nest. Linnets feed on the ground and their diet consists of seeds, grasses and weeds.
