The Wave - Coyote Buttes

Why would anyone be at the Wave when it's snowing that hard!?!?!? My hiking partner and I write a hiking article each month for the Today in Dixie Magazine and we were writing up the Wave. Then we found info on Dino Tracks so we headed back out that next weekend, but winter was closing in. Then we found out about Melody Arch, but a storm was predicted for the next weekend. I was determined to go no matter what so we could meet the magazine deadline and add Melody Arch to our next article. We made it up to the arch just as the storm really let loose. Those of you who have been up there know you do not want to hike down (or up for that matter) from there if the rock is wet and it's really bad if there is snow. We made it down to the Wave where it's easy hiking, but as you can see from all the snow on my head we were hit hard.
