Nice! Why do I think "jig saw puzzle" when I look at this photo?
The composition is fantastic, the colors vivid. As someone else said, it looks almost like a painting. Well done!

POW-HDR Tone Mapping? I'm surprised that this image isn't a product of High Dynamic Range(HDR)& Tone Mapping photography. Nice photo for sure however when compared to other tone mapped images the simularities are uncanny.
"Digital high dynamic range (HDR) photography attempts to increase the dynamic range by incorporating information taken from multiple photos of differing exposures (such as with bracketing).HDR also incorporates tone mapping that remaps the tonal range while conserving local contrast."

The following are examples of Tone Mapping.

Re: POW-HDR Tone Mapping?Thank you for this comment!
I use very simple program to adjust images. In fact, I only move one button and the effect is similar like with HDR&TM, but of course, as you said, the quality is much worse...
I am interested in HDR&TM...I really like the results...

Re: POW-HDR Tone Mapping?I used to do lot of HDR photos and in the beginning it was fun because it is something different and cool looking but later when it became normal and results predictable it wasn't as funny and time consuming process started to annoy me; first to take pics from tripod and then combine them at home. But there are many situations when only HDR can solve the problem of huge dynamic range of the scene. But huge problem is that it looks too much like impressionist painting, hmmmm

Re: POW-HDR Tone Mapping?That's interesting...So, I think I'll try it and I'll see...maybe it'll annoy me too.
Now, it looks interesting to me, as for you in the past.

Too manipulatedAnd too artificial. Looks contrived and far from natural. All of the enthusiastic appraisals surprise me.

Too ArtificialA ridiculous amount of manipulation. I'm surprised at all of the enthusiastic opinions. Whatever happened to natural?
