North Slope
Steep ascent with FarNorCalGirl. Great view of Ash Creek Butte that is hard to find from the Shasta Valley. Trees cover makes westerly views obscured.
A quick mid-day ascent after Ash Creek Butte in the morning and before heading in to camp for Wintun Ridge in the afternoon. Very hot and sunny when I started, not a cloud in the sky. Less than an hour later thunder everywhere and light rain.
Nice hike to finish the day up the north side.
This was our last peak on our drive home after a week+ of peakbagging in California. Beautiful day with fabulous view of the north side of Shasta.
