but only if the surface of the asphalt could be as nice as the view :)
one funny thing on polish maps is that the section from the toll to Podspady is marked almost as thin as a forestry road, while the polish side as a main road. but the reality is that when you cross into slovakia it's completely the opposite with a brand new asphalt :D

Polish roads are notorious, even compared with Slovak ones. I wonder how they compare to today's Romania's.

Yep, just around the corner, my personal paradise...

p.s.
Romanian roads getting better and better in recent years. Last August I was driving from Rzeszow to the South, all the way to Transilvania and all around the area. What I can say Romanian part of that drive was the best in quality, scenery and speed (Satu Mare - Cluj - Sibiu - Predeal - Sinaia - Brasov - Sighisoara and further). Driving back from Brasov to Rzeszow non stop, 960 kilometers was also my personal record of "one day" behind the wheel.

The reality in the lovely area from the picture is quite characteristic for whole Podhale/Spis borderland in recent times with unfortunately rather sad conclusions that we don't respect much the beauty of the landscape demolishing it with more or less terrible architecture arising just everywhere on Polish side... while on Slovak side state law protects the natural heritage from such practice... Being enterprising doesn't explain such irreversible interventions.
I don't think it's fair to that nature treasures and next generations.
