These cactus flowers were...

These cactus flowers were only about 30 feet down from the summit. Cactus of all kinds were found on this mountain and wearing good gloves is a great idea.

Thanks Radek. Yes, those are little gems as are many of the flowers you see in the desert. Dennis and I are heading for

Pueblo Pk this saturday (Oregon 100 highest list) and a few others but hope to see some more desert displays while we are down there.

I forgot to mention the contrast I saw in a 24 hour period of time. This pic, near Hayford Pk TH, was taken the day before I took the one of the above flowers. I love the desert stuff.
