This is the bivy underneath...

This is the bivy underneath the southside of the 'big bivy boulder' in the bivy basin at the south toe of the Chimney Glacier. There is room enough for two bivy sacks, as shown. About 25 feet away is another suitable bivy with possibly enough room for a tent. It will be windier than the bivy under the rock (katabatic winds from the glacier). There is another bivy site or two on the other (north) side of the boulder. June 27, 2004.
