An hour before sunset from the saddle between Broken Hand Peak and the high point south of Cottonwood Lake at approximately 12,300 feet on Sept. 17, 2005. I'm east-southeast of The Needle. It shows the upper Southern Couloir (standard 4th class route & crux) on The Needle.
