This shot shows how the old summit boulder looked in August 1975. According to an acquaintance who climbed it in 1993, the summit boulder is not all that is missing. Much of the summit ridge has now broken away, although the true summit was still intact as of '93. If this breakdown continues, how long will it be until the SW summit is higher?? :-)

Amazing

That boulder sitting on the very top like a big cairn. Makes a great shot.

Do you think it rolled off toward the Chikamin?

Would be interesting to locate it somewhere down there. It looks to have lots of indentifiable imbedded straita as judging from your 1975 summit picture sitting on it.

Re: Do you think it rolled off toward the Chikamin?

Actually, it would have rolled off the west side of the ridge, which is the Dome Glacier. :-)
