This topo shows the routes on The Triangle, the left side of the North face of mount Vihren. The routes were re-equipped in 2000 by Borislav Dimitrov, Zdravko Petkov, Mitko Iliev, Ljuba Hlebarova and Miroslav Nankov. They used Petzl long-life bolts 12mm/6cm (rated for 2400 kg) on all routes except for "Kaminite" where 10mm/5cm Camp spits were used (rated for 2500 kg). Many old pitons were replaced. The photo was taken in October 2005 and the information for the routes was borrowed from the February 2001 edition of "Na Raba" magazine (that no longer exists). * there are two minor mistakes - 1)the final rope on "Skalnijat Zhleb" should be labeled R9 and not R6. It's 60 m long. It's simply a typo. 2)R5 on "Direttissima" is mislabeled as R6. The rope is 30 m long. Again it's a typo. Sorry about that!

Great useful photo...

...and very useful information for rock climbers. Thanks!

=)

Definitely one of my winter dreams! Probably the highest natural wall in Bulgaria (over 400 m).
