Thousand Lakes Wilderness

This map shows the primary road access to the Thousand Lakes Wilderness. The yellow roads are Highway 299 in the north, Highway 89 running north to south and Highway 44 coming along in the south. The spur on the right side is Highway 44 coming from Susanville. If coming from Reno, this is the route one would approach by. The orange road is unpaved but well graded Tamarack Road, which accesses the west side of the wilderness coming south from Burney.
