Three Fingers North Peak

Three Fingers North Peak

There seems to be a somewhat common misconception that the north summit is higher. In fact, it is pretty clear that the north peak is in fact lower and photographic evidence from the summit backs this up. Part of the reason for this uncertainty about the true HP stems from the fact that the north summit elevation is shown incorrectly on the map. While it is lower, it is clearly higher than the topo would lead you to believe and at least 6800+ feet. Regardless, it is an imposing looking summit and of course a much tougher climb than the south summit.
