A good day hiking with new friends.
This was the 1st peak of the day, a beautiful Three T's hike up from Middle Fork Trailhead.
After descending Devil's Backbone to Baldy Notch, on to the 3 T's to finish up the traverse. Thunder fell first.
First ascent, peak 3 of 3.
Almost no snow and just a little bit of ice.
hiked in snow from below the notch to the summit. Made for a nice hike!
3T's in 7hrs
part of a 3t's hike this summer
dayhike with the 3 t's
Great clear shots all around. Little breezy but I'll take it!
From Kelly's Camp with Timber and Telegraph.
Fast-Hiked twice in 2010- Manker Flats-Falls Road-Notch-Thunder-Reverse- 9.3 Miles. Planning to use it this year for quick training runs.
Hiked to Thunder Mt. as part of my 11 peaks day hike.
Icehouse canyon to Cucamonga Peak back down to the Icehouse saddle. Started up the 3T's trail to the Baldy Notch then down the ski lift to the parking lot.
First hill of the day.
Climbed via the 3T's with my two buddies. Very hot day!
Crazy day with the weather had about 20 minute relief from either downpour or snow in brutal winds. Lodge was open on the way up. Closed upon return. No hot drink :(
Went up for the 1st time to ski at the rustic resort up there, the lines off Thunder are very fun.
One of my first mountain hikes.
Cdewhurst and I were the only ones brave/stupid enough to be out on the mountain today. Even the ski area shut down! High winds and no visibility ended our hopes for a traverse to Telegraph. I was hoping for a little more snowshoeing, but the warm storm left the snow level at about 7,500 feet so we walked in the rain for much of the trip. Definitely soaked by the end, but had fun nonetheless.
