This is not Olympus  Sucess!

With Sue after driving to Olympus and finding the route was out already for the year. Hiked in to Surprise Lake and spent a hot night there with elk in the lake splashing while I was trying to sleep. Started at 6:30 am the next morning and went from bench to bench working our way to the NE ridge. Slow scree to the top. Slipped and fell and messed up my hand on the way down and decided to hike out that night. Late night drive and back to Portland sometime between 1 and 2 am.

Gilbert and Tieton, single day ascent  Sucess!

Did Gilbert and Tieton in a single 16.5 hour day. We ascended the southwest ridge which was nasty and then descended the east ridge which was nice. See my trip report.

Last One  Sucess!

The last peak I needed to be the first person ever to climb all of the Naches Ranger District officially named peaks, mountains, etc.

Easy, but steep, scramble up the NE slope. My wife (fiancee at the time) who doesn't have much climbing experience made it easy. Long haul in from Conrad Meadows though, that was why it was last on my list out of 61 peaks.
