Nice cross country hike on this one. Started to snow pretty heavily on the way up and most of the way down. There was a good couple inches of snow on the dirt road on the drive out. Round trip in about an hour, did Spruce Mountain, south of Wells later in the day.

West cross country
Seattle climber Ken Jones and I were dodging thunderstorms when the sky around this area opened up and so we went for the summit area on this one. Encountered one big rattlesnake on our way down but it was cold enough to minimize the snakes bad attitude.
