Cool

Looks like she's running. Is this from the current group up there?

Where is this?

Is this in the Caucusus, Andes or Himalayas?

Thanks Guys

Trawinski, we were there from May 8 - 25. lcarreau, apparently the weather this year (well in may) was characterized by low precipitation making the routes dryer than normal. We had a lot of wind days which I think is normal but above 14k, had very little snow. In saying that the summit success rate at the time we left was very low, hovering around 27% from a normal average of 52%.

Re: climbing strong

For a 50 year old woman, Christi put us all to shame with her strength and endurance.

Great picture!

This route on the West Butress was called the Barnacle Route by the pioneering team back in the 30's who rather fancifully imagined they were looked at a barnacle encrusted beached whale on the slope. Leave it to a group of exhausted mountaineers to come up with colorful terminology!
