Thanks GuysTrawinski, we were there from May 8 - 25. lcarreau, apparently the weather this year (well in may) was characterized by low precipitation making the routes dryer than normal. We had a lot of wind days which I think is normal but above 14k, had very little snow. In saying that the summit success rate at the time we left was very low, hovering around 27% from a normal average of 52%.

Great picture!This route on the West Butress was called the Barnacle Route by the pioneering team back in the 30's who rather fancifully imagined they were looked at a barnacle encrusted beached whale on the slope. Leave it to a group of exhausted mountaineers to come up with colorful terminology!
