don't go too late ... june should be the best choice ... I climbed it twice, first time in june, all good snow, easy and comfortable, second time in august ... very bad ice in the central part :(

Question on the climb?I'm planning to do this climb in July 08. Just wandering what protection you used for the upper snow slopes? Pickets simu-climbing or just roped up? Brilliant shot!

On the whole route I haven't used any other protection than the iceaxe, just exiting the ice colouis, in the mid, I put the iceaxe into a crack in the rocks.

Great shotI went to climb it as a teenager, but it was my first time at altitude and I had a bout of mountain sickness. So it's very nice to see more of the face. Thanks.
