Decided to take the north ridge direct from the pass and trail. Really fun Class 4 and low 5th led us to the summit. Chilly with snow flakes and rain showers.

7 Devils Traverse
Great day with a fun group. Fun but easy scramble up the northeast ridge of He Devil, then a class 4 chute descent before heading over to summit She Devil. Traversed over Baal, then did the great scramble up the south ridge Tower of Babel. Our way down, descended west on the white scree from the “knife edge”, gradually circling around the summit block toward the north. Then climbed about 100 feet back up to the flat section of the north ridge. Avoided the dreaded descent back to Sheep Lake. Trip Report
Followed the ridge from the He Devil summit. Climbed partway down the northern ridge but got a little hairy for a solo scramble. Descended NW gully by the finger rock back to Sheep Lake.
I did essentially the south ridge after an attempt at the north ridge. It is a really good scramble, just short. It includes almost everything- route finding, slab ramps, blocky steps, thin ledges, v notches etc, loose stuff, solid stuff. Lot of complaints in the summit log.
I climbed the scree gully between Baal and She-Devil, traversed over to the Tower, then followed the ridge back across to He-Devil. An awesome day! Didn't see a soul. To keep with the theme of the surrounding mountains I sacrificed a goat. Just kidding.

Did what we thought was the first ascent of the north ridge, but I just found out differently. We then traversed Baal, which is more of a subsummit, then a separate peak. Trip report here: Seven Devils Plethora.

Route Climbed: South Ridge Date Climbed: August 7, 2004Came over from She Devil in the afternoon. Really enjoyed the big rocks and pillars. Unfortunately this peak doesn't seem to have a summit register.
