Traditional shot of Dragontail over Colchuck Lake. I know there are several similar ones on this page but I think this one came out a bit sharper than most. If not, let me know and I will delete it.

Enchantment gateway

Well Brian, you've finally found the area that I've spent 30 years in. (Until Bob Bolton got me into county highpointing.) I've basically tour guided all of my friends and family into this area year after year and I never get tired of the area.

I recommend seeing this area when the Larch trees turn golden, it is so incredible. All your pics are great. This one is a beaut and is one of the best I've seen.

Re: Enchantment gateway

Thanks, Dean. The only downside is that now there are like 8 other peaks in this area I'm dreaming of climbing now. Well, that and the fact these are a 5 and 1/2 hour drive for me.

Re: Enchantment gateway

I've got a permit with one opening for Oct 7-10. It is prime time for the Larch tree show and I want to climb several of the peaks again. You'd be welcome to join another Enchantment nut and myself on that trip.

Re: Enchantment gateway

Would love to but I'll be in Vermont and Maine enjoying the mountains and fall display in the Green Mtns and then hopefully again on Katahdin. I'm hoping to get out to the Wallowas a week or two after that date though, hopefully before it snows. If you're available for that one, keep it in mind.
