This Mother Bear and 3 cubs were just off the trail (West slopes of Henkel about a mile from Swiftcurrent lodge) as we returned from Iceberg Lake in Glacier National Park. A few days later they closed this trail. July 21, 2010.

very quite but scarry

It looks like you are standing on the path in front of them

We were walking on the trail (toward where we took the shot) and they were walking toward us (away from where the camera took the shot)on the right (downhill) side of the meadow next to the trail. We hurried past them, and stopped to take these shots and they crossed over the trail.
