After doing King's, South King's, and Painter Peaks all in a row and finishing off with this one, it's one heck of a hike back to the trailhead. Roughly 32 miles altogether, over 5500 feet of climbing, and just over 17 hours of clock time

King Rider Traverse
We traversed from Kings Peak to Trail Rider before descending to the south side of Painter Basin. This route turned out to be a very aesthetic line when done from Gunsight Pass. We summited:

One of Five 13ers in a dy
August 13 I backpacked into the Chain Lakes, and camped. Next day I backpacked to Lake Beard above Lake Atwood. August 15 I backpacked over 5 peaks, namely Trail Rider Peak (aka Ramp Peak) at 13247 ft, Roberts Peak (aka Pyramid Peak) at 13287 ft, North Emmons (aka Pinnacle Peak) at 13068 ft, South Emmons (aka Glacier Peak) at 13170 ft, and Mt Emmons at 13440 ft.
From Emmons I dropped down to Oke Doke Lake and camp above the 4th Chain Lake.
#1 8-15-13 With Brent as part of "the northern 4 (5). # 2 7-25-16 With Signe as part of the Kings-Emmons Ridge Run. Either one of these "jaunts" will test your determination and ability to boulder hop.

July-15-20010 Hiked Kings Peak, S Kings Peak, "Painter Peak", "Trail Rider Peak", "Roberts Peak", "N Emmons", Mount Emmons, "S Emmons", "Owl", Lost Benchmark, and Flattop Benchmark in one 21 hour day. Started at Henrys Fork on the north slope and ended at Dry Gulch on the south slope.
July-7-2009 Hiked Kings Peak, S Kings Peak, "Painter Peak", and "Trail Rider Peak" in one long day from Henrys Fork.

I hiked this one and Painter Peak with my brother Eric on a very windy day. We were attempting Kings Peak from a southern approach but got turned back by the wind and the fact that it was taking much longer than we planned.
