Another question ...The Trangos - such an imposing barrier! My question - is there a WAY to get across - a PASS in the mountains? What if ONE gets caught in a storm? Are there any CAVES in the mountains??? Very impressive to my eyes !!!

There are many pass in Baltoro Glacier, but when you trek from Askole to Trango Tower base camp, there is no pass, and you can reach at Trango base camp from Askole village within four days. The trail follows up the Dumordo River for a short way, crosses a bridge to its east bank and, continuing along the Biaho Lungpa, reaches Burdumal. This a narrow and rather break campsite where the Chingkang River meets the Biaho Lungpa. These is also a large cave at Bardumal.
